Know what you're up against.
When sharing Young Living with others we know how awesome this is but others don't yet. If someone has an objection it is oftentimes not the real problem. When someone says something it is always good to respond with something such as, "Why do you feel that way?" so that you can get more information. Asking "Why" is really powerful because oftentimes what someone thought was a problem isn't really a problem if the prospect gets to thinking about it more.

Remember that what we do is share. We can't make someone else see what this is if they are not open to it. People really do want an opportunity to make their life better but life interferes. Many people buy into their excuses and so many people sadly don't believe in themselves and are not willing to do what it takes. There is an epidemic of people with low self esteem and people who live in the land of apathy and complaining. We are looking for the people who are looking. It's as simple as that.

Stay focused and don't let the negativity of others get you down. The three things that you will come up against most often from people are:
1. Timing - It may simply not be the right time for that person. However, there is NEVER the perfect time. Something always is coming up. That's life.
2. Money - Most people have the money it is just what they are spending it on.
3. Belief - People are conditioned for failure. If anyone truly believed that they could succeed with us they would join in a heartbeat. This is really the biggest objection inside someone's head. Oftentimes a person may have been involved in a homebased business but was never trained so they feel that all homebased businesses are a scam. We know that isn't true. All we can do is share information and care about the person.

Some enemies that you will have to do positive mental work on to fight them off so that you stay a winner are:
* Rejection - many people will say no to you. It doesn't matter what someone else says you are focused on success and that is where you are headed. It is too bad that these people didn't want to be a part of your awesome team.
* Deception - unfortunately many people have no problem with lying. So many people will say one thing and do another. You really don't want someone who is a liar to be a part of your team anyway.
* Attrition - many people will join and expect immediate success and when it does not come, even though they haven't done anything, they will quit. Unfortunately most people quit at a lot of things whether it be a job, a business or a relationship. It pays to stay in and be patient with yourself. If you don't quit you can succeed. Keep focused on why you are building your business.
* Commitment - You need to be all in. You need to give this your all, 100%. You may question things or get a little down on yourself but always go to reading something positive and going back to why you are doing this. Anything worthwhile takes work and working on yourself will be what you want to work on the most to achieve the success you are dreaming of.

You will be your biggest obstacle in achieving success. You have to quit making excuses. Quit blaming others. Be honest with yourself. If you keep this simple and stay positive, no matter what, and consistently share with others you will achieve results.

The Concert
When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that the child was missing Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out "Twinkle,Twinkle Little Star." At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy's ear, "Don't quit.Keep playing." Then, leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left hand and began filling in a bass part. Soon his right arm reached around to the other side of the child, and he added a running obligato. Together, the old master and the young novice transformed what could have been a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience. The audience was so mesmerized that they couldn't recall what else the great master played. Only the classic, " Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." Perhaps that's the way it is with God. What we can accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. We try our best, but the results aren't always graceful flowing music. However, with the hand of the Master, our life's work can truly be beautiful. The next time you set out to accomplish great feats, listen carefully. You may hear the voice of the Master, whispering in your ear, "Don't quit." "Keep playing." Remember, God doesn't seem to call the equipped, rather, He equips the 'called.' Life is more accurately measured by the lives you touch than by the things you acquire. May God bless you and be with you always! And remember , "Don't quit." "Keep playing."
